Jason Karn, Total HIPAA Chief Compliance Officer

As Chief Compliance Officer and co-author of Total HIPAA’s training materials, Jason is well versed in the intricacies of compliance, implementation, and updates. He takes a personal approach to assisting clients with the details of developing well-documented HIPAA compliance plans. He has been a featured speaker and webinar presenter for NAHU, the National Brokers’ Association, CAHU, NAIFA, and NueMD.

David Smith

David Smith, Total HIPAA Key Contributor

David is a licensed continuing education provider and a nationally recognized speaker. He lectures throughout the US, focusing on educating employers, agents, brokers, and consultants on the impact of state and federal laws on employer benefits. He is the author of much of the Total HIPAA training materials. David is currently the Vice President of Compliance & Risk Management Strategies for Ebenconcepts, a consulting and brokerage firm based in NC. He is a member of IIANC and NAIFA as well as NABIP, where he has served in leadership positions at the state, local, and national level. David is the National President Elect for NABIP.
